Experienced Sheet Metal Duct Installer/Mechanic — Commercial HVAC

Nature Air Corp is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic for commercial HVAC construction projects throughout South Florida.

This is not an entry-level installer or helper position. We are specifically looking for someone with strong hands-on experience installing commercial sheet-metal ductwork who can read plans, lay out work and perform installations with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret commercial mechanical/HVAC plans
Lay out sheet-metal duct runs based on plans and field conditions
Install rectangular sheet-metal ductwork
Install spiral ductwork
Install supply, return, exhaust and outside-air systems
Install fittings, transitions, offsets, elbows and related components
Determine field measurements and required fittings
Install hangers and supports
Install dampers, diffusers, grilles and registers
Coordinate duct routes around actual field conditions
Identify installation conflicts and communicate them before proceeding
Direct installers or helpers when assigned
Maintain clean, professional commercial installations

Qualifications

Commercial sheet-metal duct installation experience required
Able to independently read mechanical plans
Able to lay out sheet-metal ductwork from drawings
Experienced installing rectangular sheet metal
Spiral duct experience strongly preferred
Strong field-measurement skills
Able to identify fittings and transitions required in the field
Able to work independently without another mechanic constantly directing the work
Reliable transportation
Dependable attendance
Professional attitude

Compensation: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour

When HOTTR™ began transforming its space, the goal was clear: create an environment that felt modern, comfortable, and capable of supporting the unique demands of a heated fitness studio.

Nature Air was proud to be part of that vision.

Our team installed a new 5-ton Trane split system to provide reliable climate control throughout the facility. While members may never see the equipment behind the scenes, it's one of the hardest-working parts of the studio, helping maintain the conditions necessary for every class.

The project also included the installation of new ductwork and integration with portions of the existing system. Every component was installed with the goal of delivering consistent airflow throughout the facility while supporting the studio's operational needs.

We had the opportunity to complete a full HVAC installation for a new Pure Barre studio located in the Live Oaklyn community in Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale.

This 1,900 sq. ft. buildout, completed in 2024, was designed to provide a comfortable and consistent space for both clients and staff.

This was a fun project we completed in 2022 at Plantation Walk for Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream—a growing franchise known for its made-to-order desserts (and clouds of nitrogen that definitely turn a few heads).

The space was about 1,300 square feet and required a full commercial HVAC buildout from the ground up.

This was a project we completed at Pause Studio, located within the Live Oaklyn community in Fort Lauderdale—a modern wellness space designed for relaxation, recovery, and, as the name suggests… actually taking a pause.

At over 3,000 square feet, this was a full commercial HVAC buildout tailored to meet the specific needs of a spa environment.
